Cheers to the Cooper: Coopers Craft Bourbon Whiskey

*The following is a sponsored post*

I’m normally a Cognac type of fur-man, but there is something about the rich & smooth finish of Coopers Craft Bourbon Whiskey that makes me want to change my typical go-to beverage.

A few weeks ago, I attended a South Florida Blogger event at House Kitchen & Bar*  in Coral Gables that aimed to celebrate Kentucky’s finest whiskey; Coopers Craft.

Not only did I get to meet a ton of other South Florida Bloggers at this event but I got to get tipsy on a Saturday! #PartyAnimal!

The Event

What a lovely day to get drunk… I mean; to drink. I mean; to spend a day outdoors socializing with other fellow bloggers while sipping on Whiskey. This lovely Terrace? It’s the super dog-friendly outdoor space of House Kitchen & Bar. A cool place to check out if you’re in the mood for a pawsome happy hour spot.

Hey, waiter-dude. You think I can get me a little more ice? Please and thanks.

Shout out to House Kitchen & Bar for providing this fantastic spread. Definitely needed  in order to soak up the alcohol that was consumed. 😛

About Coopers Craft

Since 1945, Coopers Craft has been raising American white oak barrels by hand at the Brown-Forman Cooperage, in Louisville, Kentucky, USA.  Their barrel wood undergoes a proprietary toasting process to unlock deep, complex flavors which are then raised by their coopers (aka: skilled makers of barrels) and receive a medium char on the inside.

Did you know that the barrel is responsible for giving the Whiskey 100% of its coloring? I totally learned that during the event and now I feel like a Bourbon Whiskey Connoisseur.

This delicate process is what gives Coopers Craft its soft lemon custard and baked apple notes. It is a delicious sipping bourbon.

Now, when it’s time to smoke a cigar on the weekends, I will be forced to choose between my go-to Cognac, and my now new favorite, Coppers Craft! (Or maybe both…but shhhh, don’t tell the human).
