Scottish Terrier Adoption: Shaun & Willie

Hami In Miami Scottish Terrier Adoption
Hey, Shaun…You look like you are a ladies man. I must know your secrets!

The human and I recently signed up as volunteers with the amazingly dedicated people over at the Scottish Terrier Rescue of Florida (STROF). One of our main duties is to help find forever-homes for fellow Scotties in need.

Today, I bring you Shaun and Willie, adorable 7-year-old doggies that need to find a home in Florida. Help spread the word and let’s get these two pups adopted!

Shaun The Affectionate

Actually, you are NOT fooling anyone. You are most definitely a fur-ladies man, huh? 🙂

Looking like a real George Clooney with that salt & pepper hair bud. Good job!

Shaun is a 7-year-old male Scottish Terrier currently in foster care. He will be neutered (OUCHIE) in two weeks and available for adoption after recovery.

Mr. Shaun is very affectionate and loves attention (really, dude?).  He’s a dignified, laid back boy who adores people.

He needs to be an only dog and would do best in a home with a fenced yard.

Willie the Playful

Oh, man. How could ANYONE resist this cuteness? Willy the cute he should be called!

Willy is ready for Tongue Out Tuesday, clearly!

Willie is also a 7-year-old male Scottish Terrier currently in STROF foster care.

Just like Shaun, he will also be loosing his balls (aka: neutered) in two weeks and available for adoption after recovery.

Willie might be 7 but he’s very young at heart and loves to romp outside and play with his toys. I totally feel you buddy. I too love to romp outside and man-handle my toys!

Willie needs to be an only dog and would do best in a home with a fenced yard.

Adopting Shaun & Willy

If you are interested in adopting a rescue Scottie from STROF you must complete an extensive application {CLICK HERE}, pass a home visit inspection, provide personal and veterinary references, and demonstrate ability to properly care for your new family member.

Some of the factors that are taken into account when adoption applications are considered:

  1. First and foremost, your reasons for wanting to adopt a Scottish Terrier.
  2. In addition, any previous experience with Scottish Terriers and other pets.
  3. Also, your willingness to adopt an adult or elderly Scottie,  a Scottie-mix, a bonded Scottie pair, or a Scottie with special needs.
  4. As well as the suitability of your living accommodations to meet the needs of a Scottie, which include: living indoors with their family out of the Florida heat and humidity, quality food and fresh water, daily exercise and human attention, frequent professional grooming, a fenced yard, and protection from ready access to pools or other large bodies of water.
  5. Presence of young children and/or other pets in your household.
  6. Your willingness to devote the necessary time, energy, and finances to provide a quality home for the Scottie.
  7. Finally, references from your personal veterinarian and several friends- who can attest to your ability to provide for a rescue Scottie.
