People & pups ask me all the time where they should go when they visit my pawsome city…Well, here is a well-combed list of the top 5 attractions in Miami which I visited in 2017. Think of this like a cheat sheet to fun in the city. You’re welcome 🙂
Top 5 Miami Attractions of 2017
5. The Miami Beach Botanical Garden
A lot of my bros ask me where I take the fur-ladies on dates as a Miami native. There are SO many places to pick from! The Miami Beach Botanical Garden is such a romantic green oasis in the middle of the hustle-and-bustle of South Beach, it is guaranteed to ensure some major butt-sniffing action at the end of the date.
The Miami Beach Botanical garden is dog-friendly and free to the public. That’s right – F.R.E.E 🙂
4. The Coral Cables Museum
Every once in a while, I like to do fancy things. You know; things like sip champagne while watching the sunset. Smoke a cigar while listening to Miles Davis. And even… Visit the Coral Gables Museum to get the inside scoop on local neighborhood history while taking-in some bad-ass art.
The inside of the Coral Gables Museum is not dog-friendly (I had a special VIP tour); the grounds however is! Make sure you bring your fur-less kids however (as in your children) because they have tons of activities and space for them to run around.
3. The Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM)
The Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) not only hosts some of the most exciting contemporary modern art pieces under one roof, but the building itself is a water-front gem with breathtaking views.
The PAMM is semi-pet-friendly. This means: dogs are allowed in the terrace and on the outside property but only service dogs are allowed inside.
2. Fairchild Tropical Garden
When you hear the word Miami, I bet you you think of a tropical paradise…Year-round warm & humid weather, sunny skies and lush vegetation. Miami is pretty much as tropical as it gets.
No place exemplifies this more than Fairchild Tropical Gardens, the magical oasis, considered one of the best botanical gardens in the world!
Make sure you plan a full-day visit to the Gardens as it is very large and there is lots to sniff! But make sure your leave the pups at home as they do not allow them in the Garden (except for special times during the year so make sure to visit their website for more 411).
1. the Frost Science Museum
I have to admit, I am a sucker for science. So, when I heard that Miami was getting it’s very own Science Museum this year, I peed myself a little with excitement.
Located right next to the Perez Art Museum in Downtown Miami, the Frost Science Museum is a 250,000-square-foot space made up of 4 very amazing buildings; each one cooler than the next (think planetarium, aquarium, and everything in between!).
If you are looking to spend the day in Miami ohh-ing and ahh-ing, then the Frost is your spot!
The museum is not open to pets unless, of course, they are Service Animals.
I Hope You Enjoyed My Top 5 Miami Attractions…
Make sure you let me know of other cool spots that didn’t make the list so that I can visit them in 2018!
